Conversion happens on our server

This site opens and edits documents inside the browser. Converting formats is the one exception. The browser cannot do it, so the document is uploaded to our server and the converted file comes back. Nothing is kept on the server after conversion. If the document must not leave your hands, do not convert it.

How to convert, in order

1. Open the Word document and edit what you need.
2. Press "Convert to PDF".
3. Read the notice that the file will be uploaded to the server, then press "Send to server and convert".
4. A screen counting down 5 seconds appears. When it reaches 0, press "Convert and download".
5. Only then is the document uploaded to the server and converted. It takes about 10 seconds to 1 minute.

If you only want to tidy pages, use "Arrange pages"

"Convert to PDF" is the button for downloading a PDF file. If you do not want the file but want to delete, rotate or reorder pages, use "Arrange pages" next to it. It opens the converted PDF on this site so you can keep working, without downloading it.

How well the look is preserved

Pages break where they did on screen. The fonts may differ, though — conversion happens on the server, and fonts the server does not have are replaced with other fonts. The same applies even if the fonts are inside the document. The dialog tells you which fonts will change before you press the button.

You do not need to save your edits separately. It is converted exactly as you see it on screen now.
