Find a Document You Were Working On

Everything is in one list

Documents kept on this device and in the cloud appear together in one list. A tag on each row shows where it is. At the top right you can choose between "List" and "Grid". When you select a document, its row turns into action buttons, so press "Clear selection" first if you want to change the view.

How to find it

1. If you remember the name, type it into the search box.
2. To narrow it down by location, choose "This device" or "Cloud" on the left. This only filters the view; it does not move any documents.
3. If you are signed in, you can see documents you were editing but have not downloaded yet, separately, under "In progress". They are autosaved copies, so this item does not appear before you sign in.

Organize with folders

You can create folders and move documents into them. Select a document, press "Move", and choose the folder to move it to. Create folders with "New folder" on the left.

Folders exist only for documents kept in the cloud. Documents on this device are always a single flat list. Before you sign in, "New folder" does not appear at all — so that there is no button that would not work if pressed.

A folder that still contains documents cannot be deleted. Empty it or move its contents elsewhere first.
